Jimmy McDonald
Once upon a time, Jimmy McDonald toured the Northeast as an acoustic guitar wielding, self-proclaimed "woosie" musician who sang songs he didn't care about to audiences who barely listened. Ever since dropping the guitar and becoming a full-on standup comedian, Jimmy has been bringing his unique brand of introspective and self-deprecating humor to comedy clubs from coast to coast.
McDonald was a finalist in the Last Comix Standing competition at Mohegan Sun, where he competed against some of the brightest up and coming stars in the Northeast United States. He also won the Hudson Valley's Roast Madness (Roast Battle) tournament, competing against and emerging champion over the region's best comedians. His regular club schedule includes MC'ing and featuring at premium regional clubs such as Levity Live, Laugh Boston, and The Stress Factory, as well as incorporating The Improvs and The Funnybones into his national tour schedule. Being close to NYC, the mecca for standup comedians, Jimmy can be found at any one of the cities well known and widely celebrated clubs such as Stand Up NY, Dangerfields and Greenwich Village Comedy Club.
McDonald has quickly grown into one of the most in-demand comics in the Northeast and is well known as a top tier joke writer, a gifted performer, and a captivating storyteller. He is quickly gaining a reputation as a "must-see" act. Jimmy has worked with household names such as Mark Normand, Nate Bargatze, Brody Stevens, Joe Machi, Orny Adams, Jesus Trejo, Aaron Berg, Pete Dominick, and more…
